Description:

  • Webflow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CMS Extensibility Engineering team.
  • The position is remote-first, based in Mexico City, and is a full-time, permanent role.
  • The cash compensation for this role ranges from MXN 836,400 to MXN 1,100,000, depending on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to build product capabilities, writing and testing production code, participating in engineering activities, solving technical problems, and improving development processes.
  • The role involves tackling complex technical challenges within a collaborative and distributed team environment.
  • Webflow supports employees in identifying their interests and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in shipping features and products, particularly with web frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with the ability to write scalable services and APIs using Express.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and MongoDB.
  • Applicants should be able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • A strong interest in the Web Platform and visual development is essential.
  • Candidates should be comfortable building a mental model of a product and architecture through code reading and debugging.
  • The ability to take ownership and drive projects to business impact is necessary.
  • A deep understanding of data design and modeling is required.
  • Consistent communication of trade-offs throughout a project to meet technical and business requirements is expected.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment.
