Description:
Webflow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CMS Extensibility Engineering team.
The position is remote-first, based in Mexico City, and is a full-time, permanent role.
The cash compensation for this role ranges from MXN 836,400 to MXN 1,100,000, depending on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities include collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to build product capabilities, writing and testing production code, participating in engineering activities, solving technical problems, and improving development processes.
The role involves tackling complex technical challenges within a collaborative and distributed team environment.
Webflow supports employees in identifying their interests and development opportunities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in shipping features and products, particularly with web frameworks.
Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with the ability to write scalable services and APIs using Express.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and MongoDB.
Applicants should be able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
A strong interest in the Web Platform and visual development is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable building a mental model of a product and architecture through code reading and debugging.
The ability to take ownership and drive projects to business impact is necessary.
A deep understanding of data design and modeling is required.
Consistent communication of trade-offs throughout a project to meet technical and business requirements is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment.
