Remote Senior Software Engineer (Connectors)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building API interfaces and backend infrastructure, collaborating with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to find solutions to complex problems.
• They will build and maintain Workato’s Connector.
• The candidate will contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Evaluating and proposing improvements to the existing system will be part of their responsibilities.
• Supporting continuous improvement by exploring alternatives and technologies for architectural review is also expected.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• The candidate should have at least 5 years of industry experience.
• Experience in building and scaling distributed, highly available systems is necessary.
• Proficiency in Ruby is essential.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills are required.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles is a must.
• Familiarity with Redis/Memcache based caching, RDBMS engines (Postgres) is preferred.
• Contributions to Open Source projects would be a plus.
