Description:
Phaidra is building AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling facilities to automatically learn and improve over time.
The Senior Software Engineer will lay the technical foundation of the Control Plane team, establishing services, APIs, contracts, and processes for core systems.
The role involves designing and implementing significant parts of the code base, providing technical guidance, and mentoring peers.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and leading engineering initiatives for the Control Plane team, contributing to backend product design, performing DevOps duties, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
The onboarding process includes a structured program over the first 90 days to familiarize the new hire with Phaidra's operations, culture, and systems.
The position is remote, with candidates accepted from specific regions including the USA, Canada, and parts of Europe.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of work experience and a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong experience in designing and implementing services, APIs, and backend solutions is required.
Expertise in production software engineering, including relational and non-relational data modeling, micro-services, and event-driven systems is essential.
Candidates should have strong experience building large-scale multi-tenant systems with high availability and performance tuning.
Proficiency in Python and cloud environments is necessary.
Effective collaboration and communication skills in an all-remote setting are required.
A curiosity-driven approach to work, with a focus on ownership, transparency, and customer empathy, is expected.
