Description:
Kin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, CRM Integration to lead the design, development, and optimization of CRM integrations and related systems.
The role involves using a deep understanding of CRM’s data model, APIs, and best practices to build robust solutions that unify sales, customer service, and marketing operations.
The engineer will integrate the CRM with the core product, which is built on a Ruby on Rails environment with a Typescript front-end and PostgreSQL database.
Responsibilities include driving CRM integrations, setting standards for scaling CRM configuration, leading collaboration through pair programming, owning technical design, building scalable API-first systems, participating in cross-functional collaboration, and providing subject matter expertise on CRM-related features and upgrades.
The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in Central or Eastern US time zones.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Proven CRM expertise is required, with hands-on experience integrating a CRM into complex back-end systems and knowledge of CRM data models, APIs, and best practices; experience in a B2C company model is preferred.
Experience coding with Ruby on Rails or a comparable back-end framework is necessary, along with a strong understanding of SQL and RDBMS; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.
Candidates should have experience designing and implementing scalable, API-first systems and familiarity with event-driven architectures.
The ability to articulate the value of technical investments and operate with minimal guidance is essential.
Experience mentoring engineers and leading small projects is required.
Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and be fast learners, ready to bring prior knowledge to the role while continuing to develop.
