The Senior Software Engineer will lead all Crypto-related engineering, focusing on spot and derivatives exchanges licensed in the US and Bahamas.
Responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and maintaining systems for Alpaca Crypto, catering to millions of users trading billions of dollars worth of assets.
The role offers autonomy in designing and implementing solutions, actively participating in defining goals with a cross-functional team.

Requirements:

Must have experience building a CLOB exchange, HFT, market-making, high-performance matching engines, or other regulated financial systems.
BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 4 years of backend software development experience.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language like GoLang, Python, C/C++, NodeJS, Java, etc.
Skills in SQL or relational databases, Bash, Linux, and Docker. Kubernetes experience is a plus.
