Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Spexi Geospatial, a drone technology company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Vancouver.
• The company's mission is to make high-resolution geospatial imagery more accessible, enabling better decision-making about the Earth.
• They have raised a Seed Round to develop the Spexi Network, a two-sided marketplace for high-resolution drone imagery powered by blockchain technology.
• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing a geospatial data marketplace platform, creating front-end applications, developing APIs and backend services, and maintaining high-quality code.
• The ideal candidate will work in a small, high-caliber team, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and collaborating on improving customer experience and workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-directed drive.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of REST APIs, API-driven web platform architecture, and geospatial data.
• Experience with agile methodologies and a willingness to learn and challenge oneself.
