Description:

  • Topia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work remotely from Estonia, Spain, or Ireland.
  • The role involves designing, developing, and deploying backend services with a focus on low latency, high availability, and scalability.
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with other team members, participate in code reviews and design sessions.
  • The product supports managing a distributed workforce, facilitating global teams, hiring, developing, and retaining employees worldwide.
  • The engineer should be experienced in agile practices, continuous delivery, test-driven development, OOP concepts, and solid principles.
  • Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining API-driven solutions is required.
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture and designing RESTful APIs is essential.
  • Technologies involved include Java with Spring Boot, React, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, C#, Dotnet, Dotnet core, MSSQL, Looker via Redshift, AWS services, and Terraform.
  • The engineering team follows an agile methodology with two-week sprints and daily standups.
  • Emphasis on skill transfer, mentoring, and collaborative decision-making in architecture and style.
  • Compensation ranges from €50,000 to €60,000 per year, with additional benefits and stock options.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in React, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Strong communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in agile practices, continuous delivery, and test-driven development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
