Description:
Topia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work remotely from Estonia, Spain, or Ireland.
The role involves designing, developing, and deploying backend services with a focus on low latency, high availability, and scalability.
The engineer will collaborate closely with other team members, participate in code reviews and design sessions.
The product supports managing a distributed workforce, facilitating global teams, hiring, developing, and retaining employees worldwide.
The engineer should be experienced in agile practices, continuous delivery, test-driven development, OOP concepts, and solid principles.
Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining API-driven solutions is required.
Knowledge of microservice architecture and designing RESTful APIs is essential.
Technologies involved include Java with Spring Boot, React, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, C#, Dotnet, Dotnet core, MSSQL, Looker via Redshift, AWS services, and Terraform.
The engineering team follows an agile methodology with two-week sprints and daily standups.
Emphasis on skill transfer, mentoring, and collaborative decision-making in architecture and style.
Compensation ranges from €50,000 to €60,000 per year, with additional benefits and stock options.
Requirements:
Solid experience in Java and Spring Boot.
Proficiency in React, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
Understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful API design.
Strong communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail.
Experience in agile practices, continuous delivery, and test-driven development.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
