Jobber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Developer Acceleration team, focused on improving developer experience and productivity.
The role involves streamlining the development process, enhancing tools, and increasing developer velocity to deliver high-quality code efficiently.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing testing frameworks, building tooling for developer environments, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining observability tools.
The position is remote within Canada, with options to work from Edmonton or Toronto offices.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a passion for Developer Experience and empathy for developers, with a strong software engineering background of approximately 5+ years.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential, as the role involves working with engineers across the organization.
Proven experience in building developer tools and automation, with a strong focus on quality and test automation.
Strong knowledge of the Ruby on Rails ecosystem and experience with tools such as Ruby Gems, Vite, Webpack, and NPM are required.
Experience in managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, ideally using CircleCI and/or Jenkins, is necessary.
Familiarity with observability platforms, particularly Datadog, is important.
Candidates should be able to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks effectively, with a passion for continuous learning and growth.
It is a plus to have previous experience on a developer acceleration team, knowledge of DevOps principles, and understanding of AWS cloud environments.
