Description:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer in the newly formed Developer Experience team, you will ensure that Signifyd’s developers have a seamless and productive experience throughout the development lifecycle.
  • You will work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues, understand user needs, and create solutions that rely on your software engineering expertise and experience to improve the overall developer experience.
  • As an early engineer in the newly formed team, you will have a great opportunity to define the roadmap and priorities for improving our tools, documentation, processes, and support channels to make the development journey smoother and more enjoyable.
  • Key responsibilities include elevating developer experience, streamlining CI/CD processes, ensuring reliability of build and deployment pipelines, enabling flexible deployment strategies, developing comprehensive testing frameworks, reducing friction in local development setup, standardizing logging and observability tooling, managing repository strategies, driving service maturity, promoting data-driven insights, and participating in the standard developer on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • You must have 5+ years of Software Engineering or DevOps experience supporting a high-traffic, 24/7 SaaS product.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or other high-level programming languages are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the development lifecycle and the technology ecosystem that enables it is essential.
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD systems and workflows using tools like TeamCity, ArgoCD, and Flux is necessary.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across the stack to promptly identify and resolve production issues are required.
  • Experience with modern development tools and environments (e.g., Git, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, CI/CD tools) is essential.
  • Knowledge of observability, performance monitoring, and debugging tool stacks like Jaegar, DataDog, and Loggly is required.
  • A solid background in implementing and adhering to security controls is necessary.
  • A BS in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
