Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Developer Experience team, which focuses on building tools for engineers to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
The role involves empowering Vanta engineers to utilize cutting-edge technologies and best practices to improve performance and scalability at the platform level.
Key projects include modernizing CI/CD pipelines, introducing new test frameworks, launching AI-powered development tools, and scaling developer environments.
The Developer Experience team has a significant impact across all product engineering, facilitating easier bug diagnosis, streamlined workflows, and faster delivery of value to customers.
Engineers at Vanta design and develop new product functionalities and infrastructure using modern frameworks and tools such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, GitHub Actions, and various AWS services.
Responsibilities include setting direction for critical development infrastructure, designing CI and build systems, improving deployment workflows, leading tool development, maintaining scalable environments, and contributing to the engineering culture.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience in technical leadership roles on Developer Experience or platform teams.
A background in build systems, CI/CD, and scaling developer workflows in fast-growing environments is essential.
A strong focus on performance, reliability, and usability in tools used by engineers is required.
Candidates must demonstrate thoughtful consideration of trade-offs and possess good product sense when building internal tools.
