Description:

Sayari is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Application Engineering team.
The role focuses on reinforcing the quality, reliability, and performance of products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong development background and experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
Responsibilities include automating regression tests, designing and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks, and writing advanced test scripts for REST APIs and database interactions.
The candidate will collaborate with engineers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and create complex SQL test cases for data validation.
The role involves performing root cause analysis on defects and leading test planning and strategy for new features.
Mentoring junior team members on testing best practices and analyzing system performance under load are also key responsibilities.
The application tier is built primarily in TypeScript and runs in Kubernetes, backed by PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Memgraph.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience solving complex technical problems, with at least 4 years focused on test automation and software quality assurance.
Proven expertise in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for large web applications and REST APIs is required.
Proficiency in TypeScript and the ability to write clean, maintainable test code is essential.
Candidates should be willing to explore the use of GenAI for automation test case development.
Extensive experience with data validation and testing complex database queries against systems like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and/or Elasticsearch is necessary.
Strong knowledge of system architecture and performance testing is required.
Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, along with expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, is expected.
Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools to isolate issues in distributed systems is important.
A proactive mindset for identifying edge cases and advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle is essential.
