Description:

The role is for a Senior Software Engineer on the DevX team at Kong, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining microservices and APIs for the Konnect Dev Portal.
The Konnect Dev Portal is essential for customers' users to discover, experiment, and integrate with APIs hosted on the Konnect platform.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining microservices and APIs, such as Developer Portal configuration, API catalogs, documentation solutions, API authentication, metering, and subscription services.
The engineer will design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
Participation in an on-call rotation is required to support services in production.
Writing automated tests to ensure code behavior and prevent regressions is a key task.
Additional tasks may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working in a team to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software solutions.
Proficiency in Typescript, Javascript, and modern NodeJS frameworks like NestJS is required.
Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience developing and supporting SaaS platforms.
A solid understanding of git and GitHub workflows is essential.
Experience in test-driven development and automated testing is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, CDC, and Flink is preferred.
A passion for APIs, OAS, and documentation is important.
