Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in Ontario or British Columbia to contribute to securing the internet and protecting consumer data.
• The role involves setting technical direction for infrastructure scalability, driving complex projects, and mentoring the engineering team.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing new product functionality and infrastructure using modern frameworks and tools like TypeScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS services.
• The Senior Software Engineer will work on the Core Platform team to enhance developer productivity, improve automated testing infrastructure, and scale key infrastructure and services.
• Successful candidates will lead projects, support design reviews, and contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture.
• Interest in security, technical leadership experience, and familiarity with complex infrastructure challenges are key to success in this role.

Requirements:

• Interest in learning about security or prior experience in the field.
• Previous experience in technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects.
• Familiarity with complex infrastructure challenges related to scale, reliability, and performance.
