The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building scalable and impactful software solutions.
Key responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of service-oriented architectures, developing high-performance data pipelines and APIs, and collaborating with product and engineering leadership.
The role involves owning technical projects, improving system observability and reliability, and mentoring lower and mid-level engineers.
The position requires a strong foundation in service and data engineering, with a focus on building robust services for data management and processing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in full-stack development, particularly with service-oriented architectures and distributed systems.
Strong experience in Python, relational databases, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is required.
A deep understanding of service design principles, including RESTful and event-driven architectures, is essential.
Experience in designing and optimizing data-intensive applications is necessary.
A strong background in performance optimization, reliability engineering, and security best practices is required.
Candidates should have a track record of mentoring engineers and promoting best practices in service and API development.
Hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, and operational excellence in distributed systems is needed.
Familiarity with data consistency practices and database performance tuning is important.
Bonus qualifications include experience with monolith-to-SOA migrations and a background in healthcare technology or other regulated industries.

The expected salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $180,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
