Description:
The role is for a Senior Software Engineer in the Digital Workplace team at Canonical, which specializes in web architecture and analytics.
The team builds new tools, dashboards, and analytics to empower colleagues, managers, and executives to make better decisions and deliver better work.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering web-based systems and SAAS, providing insights into the workplace experience, enabling new processes, and improving existing workflows.
The role involves collaborating with a distributed team, writing high-quality code, debugging issues, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior team members.
The engineer will connect to various data sources, provide visualizations, and work on database design and architecture for connected systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must be experts in two or more of the following areas: backend web service programming in Python and Node.JS, web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), data analytics and statistical analysis, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for experimentation and analytics to enhance the tech organization.
A strong analytical, data-driven mindset is essential, along with the ability to connect and interpret data from APIs.
Demonstrated leadership, excellence, and consistency in work is required, along with the ability to mentor others in the team.
