The position is fully remote, with employees located across the US and EU.
The Senior Software Engineer will help build and scale the Datafold Migration Agent (DMA), an AI-powered tool that automates SQL dialect translation and data reconciliation.
Responsibilities include driving the development of DMA, designing and maintaining backend systems, collaborating with early customers, making strategic technical decisions, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong backend focus.
Proficiency in Python is required, and experience with large language models (LLMs) and/or JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
Applicants should demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects end-to-end, from design through deployment.
