Description:
- Workato is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their team in Barcelona.
- The role involves building API interfaces and backend infrastructure, collaborating with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to solve complex problems.
- Responsibilities include building complex Ruby on Rails applications, server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- The Senior Ruby on Rails Developer will write well-designed, testable, efficient code, propose improvements to existing systems, and support continuous improvement by exploring new technologies.
Requirements:
- Strong experience (5+ years) in developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
- Extensive knowledge of Ruby and object-oriented programming and design.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Redis/Memcache based caching, RDBMS engines (Postgres).
- Contributions to open source projects are a plus.
