Description:

Workato is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their team in Barcelona.
The role involves building API interfaces and backend infrastructure, collaborating with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to solve complex problems.
Responsibilities include building complex Ruby on Rails applications, server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
The Senior Ruby on Rails Developer will write well-designed, testable, efficient code, propose improvements to existing systems, and support continuous improvement by exploring new technologies.

Requirements:

Strong experience (5+ years) in developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
Extensive knowledge of Ruby and object-oriented programming and design.
Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Redis/Memcache based caching, RDBMS engines (Postgres).
Contributions to open source projects are a plus.
