The platform supports scheduling, dispatch, provider management, and benefit administration, connecting patients with trusted care providers.
The Senior Software Engineer will help scale the core platform behind non-emergency medical transportation services.
The role involves building and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure that support patients, providers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem-solver who can take ownership, lead technically, and ship high-impact features in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
The tech stack includes Elixir, Phoenix, Absinthe (GraphQL), PostgreSQL (RDS), TypeScript, React, Remix, AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and OpenTelemetry.
Responsibilities include building Elixir services, designing scalable APIs, collaborating with cross-functional partners, providing technical leadership, improving system performance, and participating in architectural discussions.

Requirements:

Candidates should have shipped and supported production software at scale, ideally in a SaaS environment.
A minimum of 5 years of experience writing backend code is required, with at least 2 years in Elixir.
Candidates must be comfortable designing relational database schemas, writing SQL, and optimizing database performance.
Strong coding practices, including clean code, thoughtful abstractions, and strong testing practices, are essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with a collaborative mindset.
Candidates should enjoy working in small teams and be able to overlap around US Pacific Time business hours for key meetings.
