Crunchyroll is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Embedded Cloud Reliability to join their team in San Francisco, CA, with the option for remote work.
The role involves working closely with service development teams to enhance system stability, engineering efficiency, and self-sufficiency.
The candidate will be responsible for leading various projects, reliability improvements, and contributing to platform projects that benefit development partners.
The position requires a strong background in building and running high-volume customer-facing services in dynamic environments.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability, or related roles.
A BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or TypeScript is necessary.
Experience in automation, infrastructure as code, and creating reusable patterns is essential.
Candidates should have a passion for improving service reliability and performance through monitoring, metrics, incident management, and proactive engineering.
Expertise in observability tools like DataDog and hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, metrics collection, and tracing is required.
Knowledge of performance and load testing tools and methods is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate urgency, ownership, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Participation in an on-call rotation is required to resolve issues promptly.
Experience with GitOps practices and technologies, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS and its major services (EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, EKS, Lambda) is required.
Clear and concise documentation skills are necessary.
Interest in mentoring or teaching others is a plus.
