Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will join the Relativity Discovery+ Engineering team, focusing on building AI software solutions.
• Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and developing model-based applications.
• The engineer will guide product improvements across schema, framework, and platform.
• They will lead the team to best-practice technical design through collaboration and by example.
• The role requires understanding department-wide initiatives and ensuring implementation aligns with Engineering-wide policies.
• The engineer will maintain a backlog of tools or technology enhancements to improve solution maintainability and quality.
• They will encourage collaborative work among teams by advising and enforcing best practices when necessary.
• Staying up-to-date with technologies and best practices related to CI/CD tooling and developer productivity is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of professional experience delivering successful SaaS products.
• A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development is required.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity are necessary.
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter driven to make an impact.
• Strong communication skills and experience in leading teams are essential.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C#, is required.
• Candidates should be able to learn at multiple levels of the stack, from technical implementation to high-level control and data flow.
• Comfort in working from specifications to create a technical approach and scope work is needed.
• The ability to consider engineering solutions in a business context is important.
• A strong obsession with software quality and empathy for customer experience is required.
• In-depth technical understanding and experience with at least two of the following DevOps platforms: GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins is necessary.
• Experience in implementing redundancy and disaster recovery scenarios is also required.
