Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing scalable services that power critical customer experiences at Crunchyroll.
You will work in a well-established, high-performing team, taking ownership of key features and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful solutions.
Success in this role means creating high-quality, reliable, and performant software while ensuring robust security measures to protect user data and maintain system integrity.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and are considered for the location(s) of the East Coast of the United States.
Your core responsibilities include enhancing cross-team collaboration to define technical requirements, writing clean and maintainable code, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, contributing to automation and optimization of processes, developing comprehensive test suites, and implementing security best practices.

Requirements:

You must have experience in Golang or expertise in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
You should have experience with Javascript, Typescript, and React.
You need to have experience designing and working with RESTful APIs.
A deep understanding of cloud-based architectures, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, is required, along with knowledge of serverless frameworks, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong database skills, both relational and NoSQL, are essential.
You should embody best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization, with hands-on experience in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, ownership of your work, and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences are important.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
