Description:

• Tactiq is a software solutions leader based in Richmond, Virginia, focused on revolutionizing the direct store delivery (DSD) industry.
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will concentrate on back-end development using Python.
• Your role will involve building data structures and architecting new features for DSD solutions.
• You will be an important individual contributor and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers.
• Responsibilities include leading the development of scalable Python-based software solutions, collaborating on system design, writing clean and efficient code, and conducting code reviews.
• You will design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices, build efficient data pipelines, and implement automated testing frameworks.
• Performance optimization and collaboration with cross-functional teams are key aspects of the role.
• You will maintain comprehensive technical documentation for codebases and systems.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• You must have 5+ years of professional experience in object-oriented programming, particularly in Python development.
• Proven experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI is necessary.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is required.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related libraries, including NumPy and Pandas, is essential.
• Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL or MySQL is needed.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is required.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development environments is required.
• Experience in agile development methodologies is essential.
• Preferred qualifications include previous full stack development experience, knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js, familiarity with machine learning frameworks, and experience with serverless architectures.
