• Xapo Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their fully distributed team working remotely from over 40 countries worldwide.
• The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop Financial Crime Prevention products.
• Responsibilities include coaching team members, designing and deploying backend services, and developing innovative solutions with Bitcoin at the core.
• The tech stack includes AWS, Docker, Python (Django, Flask), MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Java, and BigQuery.
• The role requires a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, low latency, and security in service development.

Requirements:

• Significant software engineering experience in Python and Node.js.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, container-based apps, and cloud-native fault tolerance patterns.
• Experience with Event Storming, Domain Driven Design, and scalable asynchronous software.
• Proficiency in building contract-first services with appropriate automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD patterns and observability for scalable software.
• Must have a dedicated workspace, reliable internet connection, and necessary technical equipment.
