Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Legion application is a high-performance data-driven Java enterprise application that implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms.
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and evolution of this application.
• You will need to write secure, efficient, enterprise-quality Java code and have a deep understanding of scalability and performance techniques.
• Knowledge and experience with data modeling and relational databases are required.
• Experience with AWS, containerization, and cloud deployments is desirable.
• Familiarity with Springboot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON will be helpful.
• Frontend experience in JavaScript and Angular and/or React is a big plus.
• Responsibilities include developing features with high quality and on-time, assisting with feature design, and ensuring product quality.
• You will be required to test features, write unit tests, and work with QA engineers for end-to-end testing.
• Daily bug fixing and adherence to bug resolution goals and SLAs are expected.
• You should be able to demo the Legion product end-to-end.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
• Professional software development experience is necessary.
• Proficiency in Java or C++, along with object-oriented design skills, is essential.
• Experience serving as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle is preferred.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle is required.
• Experience in the development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications is necessary.
