Remote Senior Software Engineer (Fraud)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will specialize in Backend Development to build tools that help identify, mitigate, and report fraudulent and suspicious activity.
• Responsibilities include leading a team to build a global sanctions screening engine, case management system, and Anti-money laundering risk rating model.
• The role involves collaborating with technical leaders to design and implement solutions, working with the Disclosures team and other product engineering teams, taking ownership of parts of the Disclosures system, writing high-quality code, reviewing others' work, and conducting technical evaluations.
• The position requires a passion for software engineering and a desire to make a real-world impact in the finance industry.

Requirements:

• +5 years of development experience.
• Strong technical background in backend software development using technologies like Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• Understanding of distributed systems and how architectural decisions impact performance and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in asynchronous communication methods.
• Project management skills with a high degree of organization and the ability to convey critical information effectively.
• Experience working with multi-functional teams and a passion for collaborating with Product, Design, Analytics, and Business teams.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud providers is a plus.

Benefits:

• Base pay range per year in Poland: 301,000 zł - 401,000 zł.
