Remote Senior Software Engineer - Front End

Description:

• Xometry is seeking a senior front end software engineer to join their software engineering team on a 1-year contract basis.
• The role involves writing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web software frontends using technologies like HTML, Typescript, and React.
• Collaboration with other team members including engineers, designers, and product managers is essential.
• Responsibilities also include operational ownership of services, potential participation in an on-call rotation, and working in a growth-supportive environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer in a fast-paced technical environment, specifically as a UI developer.
• Proficiency in building single page applications using modern JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, Angular, or Ember.
• Experience in building server-side applications in Node, Java Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Knowledge of CSS and interest in contemporary CSS best practices.
• Familiarity with concepts like BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, ITCSS, or Atomic CSS.
• Ability to translate complex design comps into responsive, performant, cross-browser capable code.
• Understanding of HTML semantics, build tools like Webpack, Babel, or Grunt, and technologies such as REST or GraphQL.
• Some knowledge of back-end technologies like Java, C#, Python, Ruby, Web Services, Relational/NoSQL Databases, and OOP concepts is helpful.
