Description:

  • Cadmus is a global EdTech company focused on providing high-quality learning and assessment for the higher education sector.
  • The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Front End) with at least 4 years of industry experience.
  • The role involves working on a React-based high-traffic web application and collaborating with product managers and designers.
  • The engineer will be responsible for delivering a reliable and performant user experience, solving engineering challenges, and improving functionality.
  • The position requires building and deploying applications using modern front-end technologies such as Typescript, React, HTML, and CSS, as well as implementing robust testing strategies.
  • The engineer will work closely with product managers to iterate on user journeys and mockups, own the front-end framework, and manage multiple competing demands on time.
  • Mentoring teammates and fostering a culture of excellence within the team is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 4 years of industry experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, including Typescript, React, HTML, and CSS, is required.
  • Experience with consuming APIs (GraphQL, RESTful) and styled components is necessary.
  • Familiarity with server-side languages (e.g., Java, Ruby, Elixir), databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP) is preferred.
  • Ability to work with product managers to iterate on user journeys and mockups in tools like Miro and Figma is essential.
  • Candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks effectively and ensure development timelines are adhered to.
