The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend to help modernize the MyCase Product, enhancing the workflow and user experience for legal professionals.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable applications using modern web frameworks such as Rails, React, Node, and NextJS.
The role involves maintaining reusable component libraries and collaborating with product teams to assess trade-offs and align improvements with business objectives.
The engineer will modernize web applications to enhance user experience, improve performance, and ensure scalability.
The position requires pioneering frontend technologies and establishing best practices while mentoring and coaching other software engineers.
The engineer will work closely with UX teams to design and ship web applications focused on usability and support software deployments by debugging and troubleshooting.
The role also includes driving technology initiatives to enhance application performance and staying updated with industry trends.
Requirements:
A BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and debugging large-scale, cloud-based solutions.
Extensive experience in building production-grade web applications, including developing reusable components and optimizing front-end performance is necessary.
Expertise in frontend technologies such as React, Tailwind, Bootstrap, and NextJS is required.
Experience in deploying frontend applications and building out a CI/CD pipeline is essential.
Professional experience with Ruby on Rails or equivalent, with the ability to develop and maintain APIs and backend functionality is needed.
Familiarity with Lean product development and Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is important.
A strong understanding of SOLID design principles and software design patterns is required.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is necessary.
Excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills are essential.
