Remote Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Description:

• Spexi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Vancouver and work on the Spexi Network, a two-sided marketplace for drone pilots and organizations to access high-resolution aerial imagery and data.
• The role involves designing and developing a geospatial data marketplace platform, integrating APIs, maintaining high-quality code, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with the team to enhance customer experience.
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 6+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, and modern frameworks, expertise in cloud-based infrastructure environments, and strong communication skills.
• Bonus points for experience with geospatial data, blockchain architectures, 3D mathematics, and contributions to open-source projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of creating and supporting large-scale production systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, React, Next.js, Tailwind, and cloud-based infrastructure environments (specifically AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a remote, agile environment.
• Familiarity with modern build tools, workflow automation, and professional software development processes.
