Description:

Pano AI is a growth stage start-up focused on early wildfire detection and intelligence, headquartered in San Francisco.
The Senior Software Engineer - Frontend will strategize, design, and execute the user interface and experience for a single-page application dedicated to early wildfire detection.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to align on requirements, design, and rollout.
The role involves leading feature development, maintaining and enhancing the existing codebase, conducting code reviews, and advocating for code quality.
The engineer will contribute to evolving coding standards, evaluate new technologies, prioritize technical debt, and manage legacy applications.
Strong debugging skills and proficiency in utilizing RESTful APIs for frontend and backend communication are essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of Frontend Engineer experience, demonstrating a robust background in developing Frontend applications.
Technical proficiency is required in HTML, CSS, Typescript, React, React Testing Library, Jest, and a state management solution like Redux or Zustand (Pano uses Recoil).
Proven expertise in utilizing Design Systems like Material Design and component libraries such as Material-UI is necessary.
Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating within the team and achieving project goals.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product, and Backend, is required.
Preference will be given to candidates located in the PST or MST time zones.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $202,000 per year, based on qualifications, education, experience, and location.
The position is also eligible for stock options.
