Description:
Sayari is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join their Software Engineering team and own the development of new features across their stack.
The ideal candidate should be a process-oriented self-starter with extensive experience in software engineering, interested in corporate transparency, anti-money laundering, sanctions evasions, and combating financial fraud.
The application tier is primarily built in Typescript, running in Kubernetes, and backed by Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Memgraph.
The data ingest tier runs on Spark, processing terabytes of data from hundreds of data sources.
The platform allows users to explore a large knowledge graph sourced from hundreds of millions of structured and unstructured records from over 200 countries and 30 languages.
The role includes contributing to the growing library of open source work, including the WebGL-powered network visualization library Trellis.
Responsibilities include building, testing, and deploying features across the tech stack, partnering with the product team to implement feature requests, participating in code reviews, and working in an Agile development setting.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of professional experience in programming web-based applications and API servers.
Comfort with Typescript and React is required.
Proficiency in consuming RESTful APIs is necessary.
Experience working with Node and Express is essential.
Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with product and design teams are required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
Candidates should be self-starters, able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and be excited to learn new skills.
Benefits:
The target base salary for this position is $160,000-$180,000 per year, plus a quarterly bonus and equity.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, and internal peer equity.
The compensation may vary from the amounts listed above based on these factors.
