Description:

Pano is a venture-backed early-stage climate tech startup focused on wildfire early detection.
The Frontend Engineer will strategize, design, and execute the user interface and experience for a single-page application dedicated to early wildfire detection.
Responsibilities include collaborating closely with the product team to enhance map functionality, improving a custom canvas video player, and extending React application functionality.
The engineer will deliver thoroughly tested, accessible solutions while adhering to best practices and ensuring cross-device compatibility.
Key tasks include leading feature development, maintaining and enhancing the existing codebase, conducting code reviews, advocating for code quality, contributing to evolving coding standards, evaluating new technologies, prioritizing technical debt, managing legacy applications, debugging issues, and integrating RESTful APIs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of Frontend Engineer experience, demonstrating a robust background in developing Frontend applications.
Technical proficiency is required in HTML, CSS, Typescript, React, React Testing Library, Jest, and a state management solution like Redux (Recoil is used).
Proven expertise in utilizing Design Systems like Material Design and component libraries such as Material-UI is necessary.
Effective communication skills are essential for sharing insights and collaborating within the team.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product, and Backend, is required.
Preference will be given to candidates located in the PST or MT time zone.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $205,000 per year, based on individual qualifications and experience.
The position is also eligible for stock options.
