Description:

  • Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote company with a team of around 100 individuals focused on building a user-friendly CRM for small scaling businesses.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will join one of six cross-functional product development teams, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Responsibilities include conceiving, designing, building, and launching new user-facing features, implementing AI features, and enhancing real-time collaboration user experience.
  • The frontend application is a single-page TypeScript web app primarily built in React, with a mobile app developed using React Native.
  • The company values performance, maintainability, and testability in frontend code, utilizing technologies like Websockets and WebRTC.
  • The role involves working with REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints, and contributing to the overall code quality through code reviews.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of web technologies, with senior candidates requiring 5+ years of experience in building modern frontend single-page applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including at least 3 years with React.
  • Staff level candidates should have 8+ years of experience, while mid-level candidates should have around 3 years and a desire to grow.
  • Significant experience in designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications is required, along with a thorough understanding of REST APIs and HTTP requests.
  • Candidates should possess great product sense, be able to think through user experience issues, and have a passion for UI design.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a fully distributed team are essential.
  • Candidates must be located in the USA (lower 48 timezones).
  • Bonus points for experience with real-time web apps, GraphQL, AI LLMs, design tools, leading project teams, contributing to open source, building B2B SaaS products, and experience with sales tools.
