Description:

  • Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote company with a team of around 100 individuals focused on building a user-friendly CRM for small scaling businesses.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will join one of six cross-functional product development teams, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Responsibilities include conceiving, designing, building, and launching new user-facing features, implementing AI features, and enhancing web app functionalities with real-time updates.
  • The frontend application is a single-page TypeScript web app primarily built in React, with a mobile app developed using React Native.
  • The role involves working with technologies such as Twilio's API, WebSockets, WebRTC, and GraphQL, as well as improving user experience and expanding the frontend GraphQL usage.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of web technologies and experience in building modern frontend single-page applications in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Senior 1 & 2 level candidates must have at least 5 years of experience, with 3 years specifically in React; Staff level candidates should have 8+ years of experience; Mid-level candidates should have around 3 years of experience.
  • Significant experience in designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications is required, along with a thorough understanding of REST APIs and HTTP requests.
  • Candidates should possess great product sense, be able to think through user experience issues, and have a passion for UI craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency in English and residency in the USA (lower 48 timezones) is mandatory.
  • Bonus points for experience with real-time web apps, GraphQL endpoints, AI LLMs, design tools, leading project teams, contributing to open source, building B2B SaaS products, and experience with sales tools.
