Description:
Pano is a venture-backed early-stage climate tech startup focused on wildfire early detection.

The Senior Software Engineer will drive major projects to unlock new capabilities for users while building scalable, secure, and maintainable production systems.
Team members are expected to take ownership of their work, relying on creativity, communication, and collaboration.
Responsibilities include building scalable solutions, developing new features, driving projects from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring application performance, and participating in on-call rotations.
The role requires working with agile methodologies and creating run-books, metrics, and dashboards.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer.
A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or similar business environment is required.
Expertise in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and third-party SPA frameworks like React is essential.
Experience with server-side Java software development using modern frameworks like Spring is necessary.
Proficiency with SQL, RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL), and familiarity with ORMs is required.
Candidates should have the ability to visualize and build proposed systems and troubleshoot technical issues in complex systems.
Effective communication skills within the team and across the organization are essential.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $205,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
The position is eligible for stock options.
