Remote Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Business Wire’s public-facing websites, client portals, APIs, and web services.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the design, development, and upkeep of frontend web applications, backend APIs, and press release processing systems.
• The role involves collaborating with various teams to create complex applications, ensuring code quality through reviews, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, and providing operational support.
• The engineer will also work on technical documentation, mentor junior team members, and suggest improvements to existing applications.
• Required to write unit and integration tests to deliver reliable software.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a computer-related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in full-stack web development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RESTful API development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in modern frontend web development using React.js, Vue.js, or similar libraries.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Node.js ecosystem and Express.js or similar frameworks.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, or equivalent services from other cloud platforms.
• Experience with data modeling, CI/CD automation, Git, SQL, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
