Remote Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

• Vanilla is reinventing estate planning for financial advisors, attorneys, and their clients by transforming it into an ongoing conversation.
• The company offers the world’s first estate advisory platform, which provides a modern, visual estate planning experience.
• The platform utilizes a purpose-built AI engine called VAI to deliver valuable insights and demystify the planning process.
• The Senior Full Stack Engineer will work collaboratively with product, engineering, and design teams to create cloud-based solutions for a user-friendly estate planning experience.
• Responsibilities include leading the development of new features, managing project priorities, providing technical guidance, and designing scalable architectures using AWS services.
• This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in specific states.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in React/Javascript is necessary, with Typescript experience being a plus.
• Proficiency in Ruby/Ruby on Rails is required.
• Candidates should be proficient in at least one modern programming language such as NodeJS, Python, Rust, Go, or Java.
• Experience with GraphQL and APIs is necessary.
• Expertise in one or more major public clouds, preferably AWS, is required.
