• Crisis Text Line is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to develop a next-generation data platform that connects millions of users with volunteer crisis counselors and clinical staff.
• The role is remote and full-time, requiring engineers to handle information at a massive scale and extend beyond SMS as a communication channel.
• Engineers will work on critical projects that evolve with the mental health space, displaying versatility and leadership qualities.
• Responsibilities include product delivery and enhancement, contributing to technical strategy and implementation, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, DevOps integration, and customer support through an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience programming in a high-level language and 4+ years in full stack development.
• Experience in building front-end web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React is required.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases and GraphQL APIs is necessary.
• Familiarity with telemetry tools such as Datadog or Grafana, and Terraform is a plus.
• Experience in cloud environments, specifically AWS, is required.
• Candidates should have knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
• Experience in building scalable SaaS solutions is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate analysis and reasoning clearly are required.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory for remote collaboration.
