Description:
Vanilla is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Integrations team, focusing on integrating data and design with emerging technologies.
The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams to deliver powerful APIs for customer and partner interactions with the Vanilla platform.
Responsibilities include leading the development and integration of new partners, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software.
The engineer will manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
The position requires providing technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, promoting best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
The engineer will design and implement scalable and secure architectures, leveraging AWS services for performance and cost-efficiency.
Adherence to professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in improving a codebase in flight with a focus on stability and performance.
A strong understanding of business needs while considering cost, capacity, and current implementations is required.
Proficiency in React/Javascript is necessary, with Typescript experience being a plus.
Candidates must be proficient in Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as NodeJS, Python, Rust, Go, Java, or others is required.
Experience with GraphQL and APIs is essential.
Expertise in one or more major public clouds, preferably AWS, is required.
Experience interfacing with clients is a plus.
