Description:
Marqeta is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Customer & Cardholder Experiences team, focusing on delivering innovative UIs and embeddable solutions.
The role involves designing, building, testing, and improving user interfaces and backend services.
Responsibilities include defining and delivering project milestones, acting as a technical lead, and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
The position requires working remotely from Vancouver or Ontario, Canada, in alignment with Marqeta's Flexible First approach.

Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 8 years of experience; alternatively, 8+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
3+ years of backend experience in Java, including developing applications with Spring Boot and Kubernetes on AWS.
Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs, experience with SQL, data modeling, and MySQL databases.
Familiarity with Javascript, Node.js, and developing scalable microservices on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration and communication abilities.
Experience in modern software engineering ecosystems, CI/CD, containerized apps, Agile methodologies, and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
