Remote Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack, Frontend Platform (Remote, EST/USA)

Description:

• This is a remote position, considering candidates in NASA timezones in the eastern time zones of Canada and the US.
• The Frontend Platform Squad aims to provide the best journeys for all users by building tools for searching and navigating the Grafana experience.
• Responsibilities include iterating on Grafana’s navigation based on customer feedback, improving search and organization experiences, maintaining internationalization in five languages, and building Grafana’s design system.
• The squad focuses on consistency, reliability, scalability, being blameless, user and data support, and accessibility.
• The role involves designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems, delivering new features, driving projects from ideation to operations, mentoring team members, and participating in product discussions.
• Initial projects may include enhancing the Query Library for faster data access or improving accessibility tooling.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have solid experience in building full stack applications, ideally using React and GoLang, following best practices, documentation, and testing.
• Experience in delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner is required.
• Candidates should have experience with developing software that runs in the cloud or some systems engineering experience.
• Comfort in working in a remote-first company and understanding the importance of communication is essential.
• Candidates should value autonomy and decision-making over committees and red tape.
• A willingness to learn and grow is important, as there is significant room for development.
• Candidates must be able to transform ideas into working code, design solutions, gather feedback, and write prototypes independently.
