Lucidworks is a leader in digital transformation for major retailers, financial services firms, manufacturers, and B2B commerce organizations.
The Fusion Engineering team develops core functionality for Lucidworks’ search and personalization platform.
Responsibilities include designing and building scalable, high-performance microservices, improving system functionality, and mentoring junior team members.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, assisting Quality Engineering in creating robust test strategies, and supporting the development of documentation and training materials.
Key tasks include driving the design, development, and deployment of microservices architecture using Java and the Spring framework, conducting code reviews, and optimizing system performance.
This position is remote and open to candidates in Mexico or Jamaica.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of experience developing Java applications in an enterprise software organization, focusing on microservices development.
A minimum of 3 years of experience developing microservice applications is required.
Experience in designing and implementing complex feature solutions across multiple services and systems is necessary.
Candidates should have prior experience with cloud-native distributed systems using SpringBoot and deploying applications with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Helm.
Familiarity with cloud tools from GCS and/or AWS for deploying and developing new features is required.
Experience with issue tracking systems (preferably Jira) and source control (Git and Github) is necessary.
Previous experience implementing a search application using Solr, Lucene, or similar applications is preferred.
Candidates should have experience transforming monolithic applications to services-based solutions and working with Python, Node, or Javascript.
A clean background check is required.
Candidates must be passionate about creating delightful client experiences and eager to grow as software engineers.
