Description:

• 3PILLAR GLOBAL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Go to join their Product Development team in India.
• The role involves collaborating with a geographically distributed team to design and implement new features for Backup for MongoDB.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and enhancing the performance of Backup for MongoDB, optimizing backup processes, and managing high-throughput data transfers.
• The engineer will participate in code reviews, engage with the MongoDB open-source community, and work closely with product managers and QA teams.
• The position requires building robust database solutions that ensure data integrity, fault tolerance, and high availability across distributed systems.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to upstream projects are also key responsibilities.
• The engineer will be expected to blog, present, and evangelize the software to increase community adoption and engagement.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Go development and object-oriented design.
• A strong understanding of NoSQL databases and large-scale distributed systems, preferably MongoDB, is essential.
• Knowledge of compression and encryption algorithms and techniques is required.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and Travis is necessary.
• Familiarity with high concurrency threading models, atomics, and locking primitives is expected.
• Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages such as BASH, Perl, and Python is required.
• Experience with debugging tools like profiler, gdb, and strace is necessary.
