Description:
The Full Stack Senior Software Engineer (Growth Marketing) at Change.org will contribute to the development, scaling, and maintenance of the main web application and supporting microservices.
They will work with engineers, product managers, and designers to build features that drive user growth and encourage users to start petitions.
The role involves supporting key metrics, enhancing the architecture of the homepage and 'Start a Petition' page through experiments and improvements.
Change.org is a social impact business with 100m monthly users, 40,000+ campaigns launched monthly, and a user-generated revenue model.
The platform has facilitated impactful movements globally, aiming to empower individuals and create positive change.
Requirements:
Proficiency in React for building complex web applications using TypeScript and JavaScript.
Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL for middle-end development.
Knowledge of industry standard SEO practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with microservices architecture, particularly using Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
4+ years of experience in web application development with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
3+ years of experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with scrum development practices and cross-functional teamwork.
3+ years of experience with backend services using Node.js and Ruby on Rails (optional).
Benefits:
The annual salary for this role is $184,000 CAD in Vancouver and Toronto, $170,000 CAD in Victoria and Calgary, and $168,000 CAD for other Canada locations.
