The Senior Software Engineer I - Collaboration Experience position at SurveyMonkey involves working with the Collaboration Experience team to build and enhance modern user experiences for the platform.
Responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing front-end experiences, taking ownership of new features from start to finish, collaborating with product managers and UX designers, focusing on code quality and performance optimization, and promoting continuous improvement within the engineering team.
The role also involves modernizing multi-user experiences by developing and integrating collaboration components seamlessly into the core product.
The team aims to elevate SurveyMonkey’s collaboration experience, drive virality, and expand the business by attracting new audiences, delighting customers, and creating advocates.

5+ years of experience in web application development is required for this role.
Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, as well as technologies such as Node.js, GraphQL, and TypeScript is essential.
Experience with Next.js, Apollo GQL, and coding around various external service APIs is necessary.
A culture of code reviews, writing technical specifications, and collaborating within and across teams is expected from potential candidates.
