Remote Senior Software Engineer I, WhatsApp

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the WhatsApp team responsible for building and scaling one of Braze’s newest messaging channels.
• The WhatsApp team manages sending, analytics, and subscription management parts of Braze's product, including a feature-rich dashboard for composing WhatsApp messages and a highly parallelized platform for sending and processing WhatsApp events.
• As a senior engineer, you will collaborate on building new features, enhancing performance, and providing guidance on key architectural decisions.
• You will have the opportunity to address significant engineering challenges by architecting critical components and optimizing systems for scalability.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience.
• Professional background in building distributed systems at scale.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript, and familiarity with agile processes.
