Remote Senior Software Engineer I, WhatsApp

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the WhatsApp team responsible for building and scaling Braze’s messaging channels.
• The WhatsApp team manages sending, analytics, and subscription management, including a feature-rich dashboard for composing messages and a platform for sending and processing WhatsApp events.
• As a senior engineer, you will work on developing new features, enhancing performance, and providing guidance on architectural decisions.
• You will have the opportunity to address engineering challenges, such as architecting critical components and optimizing systems for scalability.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Professional background in building distributed systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Bonus: Experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript, and agile processes.
