Description:
Weights & Biases is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Identity Team, focusing on building tools for AI developers.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining security features within the application's identity system.
Responsibilities include implementing authentication, authorization, and access control systems that are scalable and high-performing.
The Identity team ensures secure access for hundreds of thousands of users and develops access control tools for other engineering teams.
Key characteristics for success in this role include being outgoing, autonomous, curious, driven, and organized.
Responsibilities also include designing and operating APIs and services for authentication and authorization, evolving architecture for growth, collaborating with product management and design, building incrementally, and participating in live support rotation.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer in a professional setting is required.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of various authentication protocols, including Sessions, JWT, OIDC, SAML, and LDAP.
Demonstrable expertise in designing and managing complex authentication systems and role-based access control mechanisms is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving system glitches and programming issues are essential.
Candidates should be ready to take on different roles and responsibilities as required by the project or team.
An ability to work independently and deliver tasks within stipulated time frames is required.
Prior experience with major cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is necessary.
Experience with Golang and Typescript is also required.
