Description:

Wrapbook is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II (Ruby on Rails) to join their remote team in Canada.
The role involves collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers to create elegant solutions for customer problems.
The engineer will lead the delivery of complex problems by breaking them into manageable tasks and taking ownership of feature delivery from concept to production.
Responsibilities include writing performant, scalable, and secure software, reviewing code, mentoring other developers, and ensuring code quality through testing and architecture.
The engineer will actively improve tools, processes, and best practices, as well as enhance existing complex architectures and communicate technical tradeoffs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong technical background with significant experience in building production web applications.
Proficiency in writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries is required, with PostgreSQL being a plus.
Experience in designing and documenting RESTful APIs is necessary.
A customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to quality is essential.
Candidates should have experience in building Ruby on Rails applications and APIs.
