Virta Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to help transform type 2 diabetes and weight-loss care through technology and personalized nutrition.
The role involves building and evolving Virta’s data engagement platform, which is crucial for exchanging healthcare data with partners.
Responsibilities include designing core components for data exchange, leading technical projects, modernizing legacy systems, and leveraging AI to enhance workflows and data quality.
The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
The first 90 days will involve learning the data ecosystem, contributing to production code, and leading meaningful workstreams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong backend engineering skills with experience in building scalable, reliable systems, particularly involving APIs and data integrations.
A proactive mindset is essential, with the ability to identify problems and drive solutions independently.
Experience with B2B or partner-facing data systems is required, along with comfort in fast-paced environments using experimentation.
Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary for working in cross-functional teams.
Typically, candidates should have 7–10 years of software engineering experience at a senior level.

The compensation range for this role is $192,026 - $248,000, based on qualifications and experience.
